How do I sign up for a class?
Sign up is easy! Go to the Register Online link at the top right of the homepage and follow the prompts. You can sign up for individual rides or buy a group ride package. Alternatively, you can always purchase rides at the studio.
I've never taken a Spinning class before. What should I expect?
Please arrive 15 minutes early for your first class. When you get to the studio please let the front desk staff know it is your first visit. After some paperwork, your Cadence instructor will walk you through the set up of your bike, fit you for shoes and get you ready for the ride of your life!
Do I have to be in great shape to come to a Cadence class?
No. Almost anyone can benefit from Spinning. It is a low impact workout that allows you to go at your own pace by controlling the resistance on your bike. You will be encouraged to push yourself, but are always in control of your own workout. Spinning classes are a great way to get fit, and stay fit. If you are concerned about taking a class due to a physical condition, consult your physician before taking a class for the first time.
What should I wear?
We recommend comfortable workout attire, including padded bicycle shorts. Loose fitting long pants are not recommended at they could get caught in the pedals. Think crops or shorts & a tank top!
Cadence offers cycling shoes to each rider – Why?
Cycling shoes enable you to get a greater workout. Being clipped into the pedals allows you to make more powerful strokes – pulling up on the pedals to work your hamstrings and feel stronger overall. Cadence will provide cycling shoes to each rider free of charge OR bring your own shoes with SPD compatible cleats if you prefer.
