New Year New Classes

Hey, Cadence Community! 

As 2022 comes to an end, we wanted to take a moment to Thank You for your unconditional love and support over the last year. Without you, there is no Cadence Community, and we can’t wait to head into the New Year with you! 

Incase you missed it, we have some exciting changes happening in and around the studio: 

New Classes:

In January, we will be adding three new classes to our schedule! 

Cadence Combo 60

During this Combo Class, you will experience 40 minutes of Cycle, filled with hill climbs, high intensity intervals, and speed work! Following that, you will head to a mat beside your bike to partake in 20 minutes of Movement which includes a combo of barre style and muscular endurance working to tone and strengthen your abdominals and arms!

Yin & Stretch 

This 60 minute Yoga class is the perfect practice to physically and mentally slow down to cultivate mindful movement to stretch the connective tissues in your body. Holding a series of poses for 3-5 minutes to get into the deep plastic tissues of the body, to release built up tension. This class is a great compliment to your everyday life and fitness practice to reduce stress and prevent injury!

Hatha

This 60 minute Yoga class will help you slow down as you focus on your breath and connecting to your mind. Soulful movement that will guide you to building strength flexibility in your body. A great class to compliment your every day life and help reconnect with your mind and body!

Additionally, we have made some schedule changes. Including adjusted start times and new time slots! Check out our schedule in Momence so you know before you go.

To our Cadence Community, 

We believe that where there is a Community, there is always support. Whether that is pushing you to reach your fitness goals during class, checking in on how you’re “really doing” over a cup of coffee, or encouraging you to have an overall balance to your wellness. As a female and family owned business, Natasha has always had these priorities at her forefront, and it pours into the team she has curated over the years. 

When we moved to our new space in 2021, we knew that although our classes brought you through the door, we wanted to offer you more before you left. Our kitchen has become a fun (and very tasty!) addition to the daily operations at the studio. Your feedback on our unique, nutritious, and ready-when-you-finish-class smoothies has been overwhelming and we are happy that you have loved them! And those breakfast cookies... just enough energy to keep you fuelled between those back-to-back classes! 

But we know that we can offer you more...

We are excited to announce that Blended For You, another female and locally owned company, will be making the Cadence Kitchen a place they call home! With a passion for helping people live well and eat well, their ready-to-blend smoothies (and more!) have no limits to flavour or nutritional value. Their all-natural, gluten-free, and plant-based ingredients will bring more delicious options to your personal taste and health goals! 

The heart and soul behind the company Blended For You, is founder Deanna Embury. Well versed and remarkably educated in all things Health and Wellness, Deanna’s love and passion for a nutritious and delicious smoothie began when she started developing the perfect recipe for loved ones. Her entrepreneurship for business and wellness doesn’t start from there. In 2003 she co-founded Licious Living - a direct-to-door meal delivery service, which was then sold to SPUD.CA who rebranded it to “Be Fresh Local Market” while Deanna was CEO. When she departed, she kept her passion for wellness and healthy foods by launching Blended For You in 2018. 

We could not be more excited for this partnership! The core values of both Cadence and Blended For You could not be a better fit, and we know that you will love their smoothies just as much as we do. Make sure to give their team a warm welcome and stay tuned for the official launch date in early January!

The 40/60 New Year's Wellness Challenge


Introducing: The 40/60 New Year's Wellness Challenge! 

This is not your typical "30 Day Challenge"! As always, we encourage balance and taking care of yourself while reaching your goals, so this time, you have 60 days to complete it!

Beginning on January 2nd, you will have 60 days to complete 40 classes - a combination of Cycle and Movement classes to maintain a well balanced fitness practice. If you do not have a membership, we have a unique pass for you! $350 to exclusively use during the challenge months. If you are currently a Flex 4 pass holder, you will also have access to 40 classes beginning on the 2nd until February 26th, without weekly restrictions. 

We are so excited to have the support from local businesses and friends that will be sponsoring you throughout the challenge! 

Our friends at Blended, LabX, and Neuromotion are few of the exciting collabs that will be spoiling you throughout the 60 Days! 

Each participant will be entered in for a grand prize, unlimited support from our community members, and a chance to crush your goals!




A few guidelines: 

1) Listen to your body! The challenge is 60 days, so make sure to take rest days when you need to. 

2) If you can't make a class and late cancel, you can get your missed class back onto your account for a $10 fee.

Fall Fitness 20/30 Challenge Recap!

During the month of October, our Community completed the Fall Fitness Challenge and we are proud of everyone who participated! Whether it was an extra class during the week or they stacked their classes, we are so proud of all of the hard work over the last month!

When we started the challenge, our biggest goal was to bring the Community together and have fun! We were overwhelmed by the amount of people who joined in and the incredible feedback we have received, that we are already planning our January Challenge! Stay tuned for more details! 

We wanted to give a big shoutout to the sponsors who generously supported all of our participants!

During Week 1, LabX gave everyone a Complimentary Physiotherapy or Chiropractic Session! Just a skip and a jump down the street, we are so grateful for their support. 

For Week 3, Clif Bar donated a generous amount of Plantbased Clif Bars for all of you our participants and added a few more for the rest of our Community to enjoy! 

But what about Week 2 & 4?

Week 2: We selected a winner to receive a $50 Kitchen Credit! Congratulations to Lisa Dobson!

Week 4: Our grand prize is a1 Month Pass and a Cadence Branded Sweater! Congratulations to Paige Courtice!

Again, we are so proud of everyone who completed the challenge and we can't wait to continue working towards everyones goals in the coming months!

Fall Fitness 20/30 Challenge

With a new season, comes new goals! We are thrilled to announce out Fall Fitness 20/30 Challenge. Not your typical 30 day challenge as we believe that balance and rest is everything!

So, when does it start and how does it work? Beginning on October 3rd, you will have 30 days to complete 20 classes - a combination of Cycle and Movement classes to maintain a well balanced fitness practice. If you do not have a membership, we have a special pass for you! $150 to exclusively use during the challenge month. If you are currently a Flex 4 pass holder, you will also have access to 20 classes for the month without weekly restrictions.

The details: 

  • Purchase the pass from September 25th to October 7th & write your name on the challenge board!

  • Challenge begins on October 3rd and the latest start date is October 7th to be entered to win the weekly & grand prizes

  • Non-monthly members pay $150

  • Our Flex 4 members will have automatically be upgraded to 20 classes with no weekly restrictions

  • Participants must complete at least one movement class per week to qualify for weekly and grand prizes

  • Each participant will receive 1 Buddy Pass that they can gift to a pal, and it can used for any class through the challenge month! 

Each participant will be entered in for a grand prize, and little surprises along the way! There will be unlimited support from our community members, and a chance to crush your goals!


Celebrate Our 11 Year Anniversary With Us!!

Our community is our heart, and this year we will be raising money to support the BC Cancer Foundation.

We’re more than halfway through the year! Can you believe it?

Even though goals may be the last thing on your mind, it’s always a good time to bring out the best version of you (and it doesn’t have to wait until January 1st NEXT YEAR!).

When you’re in the best version of you everything in your life starts to change for the better. Everything. You might have tried to change before but if you’re like most people, not much has changed at all. You’re not the only one. The reason for the struggle? People are working on behaviours instead of going to the source.

This 90min session together starts on the mat. We will relax, release, slow it down and open our hearts to welcome new insights and understandings. We will tap into the source of all change in your life: your mind. Not only will you start to see this best version of you but you’ll know exactly what to do in order to bring more of her to the surface.

Come ready to open your body and your mind. It’s time for you.

Bring paper and pen and wear comfortable clothing (you’ll be on yoga mats).

We will be starting the class at 7pm sharp so please come early to say hello and to get settled in.
